More on - RSGB Finacial irregularities

A little more on the financial irregularities that caused Peter Kirby, the former RSGB General Manager to leave the Society’s employment...

I am told that the financial irregularities refer to £41,000.00 on his company credit card over 4 years. Ow!

...for everything else there is Mastercard!

  2. Hi Julian not actually much more there but it sounds like a few personal expenses worked their way on to his company card and he was not making any effort to pay it off. It does not sound all that bad until you realise it had mounted up to £41,000 and on his (alleged) £50,000 there was probably no chance of him ever paying it back. I suppose if you pay peanuts you get monkey's. How can anyone be expected to live on only £1,000 a week? What with the price of Champagne and caviare these days ;0)

  4. Peter Kirby is better off out of the narrow minded bigoted world of amateur radio, after devoting 19 years to this hobby trying to drag it into the 21st century (often at detriment to his health) but as they say ‘you can lead a horse to water’ lets see how the RSGB fare now with the bias management team at the reins. Okay he messed up, but at least this shows he is in fact a human being which is what a lot of amateurs forgot when insulting this ‘one man’ but hey lets focus on all the bad and not all the good that he has brought to this hobby.

  6. Actually I am not radio amateur but I do reconise
it is a very interesting word ans I admire all of you.

I am looking for some more information about Peter Kirby or someone called Peter Kirby from Gibraltar who use to live in Madrid until 2005 or 2006. At this time Peter Kirby was managing the tourism office from Gibraltar in Madrid. Is it possible that this Peter kirby could be the same that the former general manager of the RSGB?

I any of you could confirm, I would be grateful,

  7. What we need are more RSGB Policemen... To support the Off Frequency police, The Over deviation Police and the you can't do that on this frequency Police all done in the name of the RSGB. Sorry I foregot its the RSGB that got us Amateur Radio in the first place and they are givers of spectrum. We need an alternative in the UK big time!!
