Dreams of glowing valves and the family gathered around the radiogram listening to the BBC Home Service broadcasting from Alexandra Palace.
Brings back memories of days as a child when I would sit in front of the family radiogram, switch it to the short wave band and tune in stations from exotic sounding places like Lille, Hilversum, Luxembourg etc.
